Our Story
Welcome to Misty Ridge! We are thrilled to introduce ourselves as the new owners. My name is Maddie Schutte and I grew up riding at Misty Ridge starting at the age of 7. I boarded my pony, Buzz, at the farm and took lessons from Anna for years. My fiancé, Wember Grande, is a jack of all trades and is the handiest person I know- he never expected to be living the farm life, but he’s having a blast!
We are so excited to be a part of Misty Ridge’s next chapter. I am a licensed mental health therapist and I’m working to establish my own private practice so that I can offer equine assisted psychotherapy at the farm. We also hope to expand the lesson program so that even more people can experience the amazing impact that horses provide. We can't wait to meet everyone in the Misty Ridge community—come visit us soon!
